Big Lagoon School providing distance learning through the end of the school year
Dear Big Lagoon Families:
In keeping with the most recent recommendations from local and state agencies, Big Lagoon School is suspending site-based instruction for the remainder of the school year.
I am thrilled that you have been able to access the distance-learning resources such as packets, Zoom meetings with teachers, and web-based programs for your children to use at home. This puts us in an excellent position to ensure your child has access to resources as we transition into a distance learning model for the remainder of the school year.
I understand that this adjustment to home-based distance learning will surely raise questions. There are a number of different ways that Big Lagoon School is offering support in the implementation of the distance learning model. Please contact a teacher or myself directly so that we can help you navigate this new territory! I am optimistic that with all of the tools that are available, the absolute dedication of your children's teachers, and your children's investment in their own learning, we will be successful in maintaining quality instruction.
Maintaining a connection to the school community is a priority that we all share as we keep that family feeling that we love about Big Lagoon School.
We miss you all and look forward to the days when handshakes and hugs are back! Until then, please use the best of health and safety practices.
Do not hesitate to contact me by email or my cell phone with questions, concerns, suggestions, or greetings!
