Hello wonderful Big Lagoon community! We have our first Cross Country practice set for Thursday at 3! Students in grades TK-8 are invited to join! Please check with Cathie or Heidi in the office for any needed paperwork. :) Let's run together! Shirts have been ordered and will be ready to wear soon! Friday, Septembe 5th we have our first whole school field trip of the year sponsored by the Yurok tribe. Please return your child's permission slip. Here is the schedule of the field trip:
Friday, September 5th – Meet at 10:00 AM in front of the Prairie Creek Visitor Center
Schedule:
10:00–11:00 AM: Guided forest walk
11:00–11:15 AM: Bathroom/snack/water break
11:15–12:00 PM: Interactive game with students
12:00 PM: Return to school

All students: Magic Schoolbus: Lost in the Solar System Wed., Nov. 19, at 11 AM! 4th-8th Grade: Cal Poly Humboldt Calypso Band Fri., May 1, at 9:30 AM!

Please plan to come to school with your child tomorrow morning for our community circle and to make sure you check in the office with Cathie Shermer regarding enrollment paperwork including van transportation paperwork! Thank you! See you soon! We are going to have an amazing year! :)

We are open to serve students as early as 8 AM. Students coming in prior to breakfast time at 8:30 will play board games in the cafeteria with Miss Catherine. On the first day, at 8:45, we will begin with a community circle for all parents/guardians, students, and staff! Please join us!

Come in to the office if your child is interested in learning more about our Cross Country Team! Practices start soon!
